Welcome to the first page of pictures from
The Second Annual Northeastern Deaf Dog Picnic.
It was held on Sunday, October 7, 2001
(cause we got rained out in June, our original date) in Hawthorne NJ.
The weather was great - sunny, dry, a little too breezy (sweatshirts would've been in
order), but great nonetheless.
We had about a dozen dogs in attendance with assorted humans and everyone had a
WOOFderful time.
Nice and big now - let everyone know we're here!!
First picture up was our surprise of the day! Melissa Brill, all the way from
Macedonia! Of course, she never bothered to clue anyone else in and tell us she was
coming, so we were all shocked! Coulda knocked Marcy and Sandi over with a
feather! Melissa loved every second of the surprise!
This is, from left to right, Joy, Nina, Tally, Orion, JB, and
Woof on her wheels in the back.
Here's a good spotty picture. Left to right is Jasper and Nina in the back, then JB,
Orion and Kelsey in the front. Don't know who that black pupper is.
Here's Debbie Frey, Joy at her feet, and JB making a run for
Orion, who's not in the shot.
Great shot of Paige and Quinn from the Deaf Dog Atlas (Quinn's holding their little
Chihuahua, and their son Sean's asleep in his carriage) yakking it up with Marcy and Woof,
who isn't interested in anything they're saying!
