Kai Chi DoŽ - A Free Introductory

Kai Chi DoŽ is a somatic therapeutic technique, a kind
of aerobic yoga, that utilizes the body to calm the mind and elevate
consciousness. It is a 60-minute breath work and movement exercise set to
music that takes you on a journey through the elements. The literal
translation of Kai Chi Do is "Free Spirit Way" or "Free Energy Way" and the work
helps to dissolve resistance and allows Life Energy to flow freely. It
encompasses elements of Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Jin Shin Jyutsu but moves at a
One thing that we don't think about on a daily basis is how little we breathe.
The unconscious breath occurs but as frustrations and stress begin to build,
many times we end up holding our breath. The movements and breathing that
we do in Kai Chi DoŽ allow us to free our spirits and let go of the negatives
that are holding us down and, in many ways, holding us back from our desires.
Just by breathing in and letting go of the breath we are able to release in ways
you can never imagine until you experience the process.
As we come together to connect with this energy, we allow for that personal
connection with the self and all of those that surround us. We reach for
the goodness and learn to let go of things that are unwanted.
We work through the cycle in a
wave. Beginning in the root we connect with ourselves. We
then open up to the air and allow ourselves the freedom and openness to
embark on a journey with the group. From air we venture into the
fire where we throw away what is not useful and we build what is.
As the pinnacle of fire is reached, we return to the water, embracing a
gentle flow and letting all that we've built unite with our being.
We enable the water to carry us back to earth where we ground and bring
ourselves to a place where we can meld the energy we've created into our

This complimentary class is offered on Thursday, March 7 from 7.00 - 8.00pm.
Please bring a bottle of water with you and dress in comfortable
clothing and socks. Even though there is no tuition for this class, you must
call to reserve your space as it is limited. Please do so by March 5, 2013.
