Origami Workshop - Peace is an Action

Join the Worldwide Meditation for Universal Peace

Origami will be forever connected to the story of Sadako Sasaki, a young Japanese girl who folded paper cranes as a wish for healing and peace following World War II.  Her legend lives on in the colorfol strands of cranes, sent every year to Hiroshima Park.  These cranes are thoughtfully folded and donated by people from all over the world.  In his memorable workshop, Jefferson Harman teaches his method of folding origami as a meditation and visualization tool.  Like Sadako, it embraces the energies of kindness and peace.  Along with some fascinating history, you will learn the basics of paper folding.  Traditional origami paper, along with step-by-step instructions, will be provided.  Origami creations make beautiful and meaningful gifts.  It is also a gift to yourself, as the art of origami is known to reduce stress and instill a sense of peace in its practitioners.  Join us for this unforgettable experience!

This class is offered on Thursday, September 17, 2020, 7.00-9.00pm.  Non-refundable tuition is $40.00, which includes all materials
