Alfalfa
Use for fertility, abundance and prosperity.  Keep a small jar in the pantry or kitchen to protect from poverty and hunger.  Burn alfalfa and scatter the ashes around the property (outside) for the same purpose.

Alkanet
Used for purification and prosperity.  Burn as an incense to attract prosperity and to cleanse the area of negativity.

Bay Leaf
Use for protection, increased psychic powers, healing, strength, and legal victories.  Useful in clairvoyance and wisdom brews, and placed beneath a pillow can bring prophetic dreams.  Wear as an amulet for protection, place on window sills to protect from lightening strikes, or hang in the home to prevent poltergeists from causing mischief.  Plant a tree near the home to protect the inhabitants from illness, or mix the leaves with sandalwood and burn to remove curses and evil spells.

Blackberry
Use for protection, prosperity, and healing.  Considered sacred to many old European Pagan deities and was used in their worship.  In the present, blackberry pies are baked on Lughnasadh (August 2) by Wiccans to commemorate the harvest, symbolically viewed as the death of the God.  If you find a bush that forms a natural arch, on a sunny day, crawl through the arch backward and then forward three times, in an east-west direction to cause boils, rheumatism, whooping cough, and even blackheads to disappear.  Use the leaves and berries in money spells and growing the vines is a protective measure.

Cascara Sagrada
Use for money, protection, and as an aid in legal matters.  Concoct an infusion and sprinkle it around your home before attending any court proceedings to help you win your case.  Cascara is also worn as an amulet against hexes and evil spells and used in money spells.

Catnip
Use for love, happiness, friendship, and cat magick.  Usually used in love spells with rose petals.  If you warm catnip in your hand and then hold someone else's hand, they will forever be your friend as long as you keep the catnip you used in the spell in a safe place.  To attract good spirits and luck, grow near the home or hang over a door.  Also useful in spells to enhance beauty and happiness.

Cat's Claw
Use for prosperity and divination.



Cedar
Use for healing, protection, and purification.  Burn cedar for its purifying and cleansing smoke which will also cure the predilection for bad dreams.  Burn twigs to heal head colds, or place them on hot rocks in sweat baths for purification.  Hang cedar in the home to protect from lightening strikes, or place a three-pronged cedar stick, prong-side down into the ground near a home to protect it against all evil.

Chamomile
Use for money, purification, love, and as a sleeping aid.  Useful in meditations and for new endeavors.  A handwash of the infusion can be used as a gambling aid.  Add the infusion to a bath to attract new love.  Chamomile removes curses and negative spells when sprinkled around the home.

Cinnamon
Use for spirituality, success, healing, lust, psychic power, protection, and love.  Cinnamon oil was used by ancient Hebrews as part of an anointing oil, while the leaves were woven into wreaths and decorated Roman temples.  Egyptians used the oil in the mummification process.  Burn as an incense or use in sachets and infusions to raise spiritual vibrations, as a healing aid, to draw in money, stimulate psychic empowerment, and to produce protective vibrations.

Cinquefoil
Use for love, money, health, power, and wisdom, characteristics that are represented by the five points (five fingers) of the leaves.  Hang above the door or place on a bed for protection.  Bathe the forehead and hands nine times with an infusion of the leaves to wash away curses and hexes.  To dream of your future lover or mate, place a seven-fingered leaf under your pillow.  For restful sleep, suspend a bag of cinquefoil over your bed.  Carry the herb for eloquence when approaching officials for favors, making it a good herb for court cases.

Clove
Use for protection, money, love, fidelity, and success.  Burn as an incense to attract money, protect from negative and hostile forces, purify and cleanse an area, and increase spiritual vibrations.  Can also be burned to stop others from gossiping.  When worn or carried, cloves attract the opposite sex and comfort the bereaved.

Coltsfoot
Use for increased visions, love, and tranquility.  Add to love sachets and in peace and harmony spells.

Comfrey
Use for protection, travel safety, and money.  Carry to ensure safe travel, remembering to tuck some in your bags so they stay safe also.  Use the root in money spells.

Dandelion
Use for divination, calling of spirits, and wishes.  Blow the seeds off the head of a dandelion to see how long you will live; the number of seeds left on the head is how many years you will live.  Blow three times on the seed head to tell the time; the number of seeds left is the hour.  Use the dried, roasted, and ground root to make a tea to promote psychic powers.  The same steaming tea, placed beside the bed, will call spirits.  Blow on the seed head in the direction of your loved one and visualize your message being sent to him/her.

Devil's Shoestring
Use for protection, good luck, money drawing, invisibility, and employment.  Wear this herb around the neck to ward off evil and protect the wearer from accidental poisoning.  Carry the herb as a good luck charm when gambling.  Cut the root into small pieces, place in a jar filled with whiskey and spirits of camphor.  When you need power of any kind, take out a piece of the root, rub it in your hands, and use it in an appropriate way (for instance, for money, place the root in your wallet).  Carry a piece in your pocket when seeking employment or requesting a raise.


Dragon's Blood
Use for protection, purification, power, shapeshifting, and consecration.  Burn the resin to encourage errant lovers to return.  Place a piece of the resin under a pillow or mattress to cure impotency.  A powerful protectant when carried, sprinkled around the house, or burned as incense.  Add a pinch to other incenses to increase their potency and power.  Take some power and mix it with sugar and salt and place in a bottle.  Cover it tightly and place it somewhere in your house where it won't be found to encourage peace and quiet in a noisy household.  Mix the powder with oil to make a magickal ink.

Echinacea
Use to ensure and strengthen spells.

Frankincense
Use for protection, exorcism, purification, and spirituality.  Burn frankincense to release powerful vibrations to uplift the area and to banish negativity.  It can also be burned to encourage visions and for consecration.

Ginger

High John
Use for strength, victory and success, money, love, and happiness.  Anoint the root with mint oil and tie up in a green bag or cloth to attract money.  It can be carried to attract love and success and alleviate depression.  It also protects one from hexes and curses.  Take three High John roots and make small cuts in them with a sharp knife.  Immerse in a bottle of vegetable, olive, or mineral oil and leave them for several weeks to create an oil that is useful in anointing candles, sachets, etc.

Hyssop
Use for protection, purification, and consecration.  Add it to baths as a sachet or infused and sprinkled on persons or objects to cleanse them.  Hang in the home to purge evil and negativity.

Jezebel Root
Use for attracting wealth and business.  Prostitutes use this herb to attract wealthy customers.  It is also useful in careers where female entrepreneurs wish to receive healthy tips from male clients, such as waitresses and hair dressers.

Lady's Mantle
Use for love and to connect to the feminine.

Lavender
Use for love, sleep, chastity, calmness, happiness, and peace.  Place flowers in a drawer where clothing is kept and you will attract love.  Rub the flowers on paper you intend to use for love notes.  Wear lavender to protect against cruel treatment from a spouse.  Burn flowers to induce sleep and scatter throughout the home to promote peacefulness.  Lavender can also be used in healing spells, carried or worn to see ghosts and protect against the evil eye.

Lemon Verbena
Use for purification, love, increasing social/verbal skills, and to aid in discovering false friends.  Hang a bit around the neck or drink some of the juice and it will prevent dreaming.  Wear it to make oneself attractive to the opposite sex.  Add to other herbs to boost their strength, or add it to bathwater for purification purposes.

Licorice
Use for passion, love, fidelity, and as an aid to stop smoking.  Chew on the root, not the candy, to make you passionate and as a substitute for smoking craves.  Licorice sticks make useful wands, and can be added to love and lust spells.

Use for love and passion.  Use in a bath to make you more attractive to the opposite sex.

Lucky Hand Root
Use for wealth, love, health, new job, and fast luck.  This is the root from an orchid plant.  Place in sachets for luck and general success, carry to obtain employment, and as protection.  Fill a jar with Rose oil.  Place several lucky hand roots in the jar and let them soak.  When you need something, remove one of the roots and wear it (near your heart for love, near your shoe for travel, near your purse or wallet for money, etc.).

Meadowsweet
Use for divination, happiness, love, and peace.  Wear it around the neck as a protectant.

Use for divination and wishing magick.  Carry them in your wallet or purse for seven days to attract money.  Use them on an altar and then distribute them.

Motherwort
Use for calmness, immortality, fertility, and to strengthen the heart.

Mugwort
Use for protection, visions, healing, and astral/psychic travel.  Place in the shoe to gain stamina during long walks or hikes.  Stuffed in a pillow that is slept upon, it will encourage prophetic dreams.  Burn with sandalwood or wormwood during rituals for divination.  Make an infusion to wash crystal balls and mirrors with, or place the leaves around the base of the crystal ball to increase psychic visions.  Carry it to protect against wild beasts or sunstroke.  Burn or hang above doorways to keep evil spirits away.  Carry to increase lust and fertility, to prevent backache, and to cure disease.

Mullein
Use for love, courage, protection, divination, and health.  Wear to protect from wild animals while on hikes.  Instills courage, and if a few leaves are placed in the shoe, will protect the wearer from colds.  Stuff a small amount in a pillow to protect from nightmares.  Substitute powdered leaves for graveyard dust if called for in a spell.

Myrrh

Parsley
Use for purification, protection, cleansing, and lust.  Eat parsley to promote love for a new relationship.  If you're already in love, don't cut parsley as you'll cut the love.  Placed on a plate of food to guard from contamination.  Wear on the head to prevent inebriation.
